Newbury Spring Festival
Newbury Summer Festival is the perfect family day out with live music, arena displays, air shows, food stalls and lots of fun activities for all the family. Held at Newbury Showground on 20 July 2024, the entertainment starts at lunchtime and the event finishes with a fireworks finale!
Ticket prices:
Children aged 3-15 are £14 and adults are £28. A family of 4 ticket is also available for £75.
How to get there:
If travelling by car, take the A34 and follow signs to the showground. There is plenty of parking and attendants will direct you to the appropriate car parks. By train you will need to travel to Newbury station, which is easily accessible from London and Reading. From there it is a 10 minute taxi ride to the showground. You can also take a taxi from anywhere in Newbury and Thatcham, it is just a short drive and Cabco will be happy to drop you off at the gate!
Thatcham family fun day
Thatcham Family Fun Day is a fantastic event for all the family. With a mix of live entertainment, rides, food stalls and local crafts, it is a great day out for all ages. The event takes place at Henwick Worthy Sports Ground between 11am and 4pm.

How to get there:
Henwick Worthy Sports Ground is easily accessible by car via the A4. On site parking is free but limited. If arriving by public transport, Thatcham station is on the same line as Newbury, with regular services from Reading and London. You can take a taxi from Thatcham Station or Cabco is available to pick you up from wherever you are.
Real Ale and Cider Festival
For those who enjoy a good pint, the Newbury Real Ale and Cider Festival is a must. Held at Northcroft Fields on 14 September, the festival showcases a wide range of locally brewed ales and ciders, with live music to keep you entertained. It’s a great opportunity to relax with friends and sample some of the region’s finest brews.

There are a range of prices to suit different levels of experience. Tickets start at £20 for adults and are free for children if you get in early!
How to get there:
The festival is held at Northcroft Fields in the heart of Newbury, which is easily accessible by car and public transport. There are plenty of car parks nearby including Northcroft Lane Car Park, West Street Car Park and Northcroft Leisure Centre Car Park, which is closest to the festival entrance. If you are travelling by train, the nearest station is Newbury, which is a 15 minute walk from Northcroft Fields. Alternatively, Cabco can take you directly to the entrance from anywhere in Newbury or Thatcham.
Newbury Pride
Newbury Pride takes place in Victoria Park on 13 July this year! Join the celebrations for a day of live music, performances and even a marching band. Don’t miss the parade which starts in Bartholomew Street and makes its way through the park, painting Newbury with vibrant music and the colours of the rainbow.

The event is free to attend, but there will be badges and pins on sale to raise money for Aids charities.
How to get there:
If you are travelling to Newbury Pride by car, we recommend the Parkway Car Park, Northbrook Street Car Park or Kennet Centre Car Park. Newbury Station is the nearest station to Victoria Park, which is a 10 minute walk away. Exit the station and head north-east along Cheap Street. Plus, wherever you are in Newbury or Thatcham, Cabco is on hand to take you straight to the festivities.
